Tubular Invisible Cast-On mini class

A tubular cast-on is an elegant couture beginning to 1×1 ribbing when starting socks or hats. Learn both the tubular cast-on and Elizabeth Zimmermann's invisible auxiliary wool cast-on that is its basis.

Skill level is intermediate.
Prerequisite: should be able to “read” your knitting.

Maximum 20 students.

Students receive a handout in booklet form

No materials fee.

No homework.

Supplies:
  • class yarn (smooth, non-splitting, light or bright or medium color)
  • needles to work that yarn
  • needles 2 sizes smaller
  • waste yarn or a size 0 circular knitting needle

No special needs for the room set up. A whiteboard or flip chart is nice to have but not need to have. Room set-up should be tables and chairs either facing forward or in a U-shape.
